Alice sighed and placed her head in her hand before giving an answer. She just shook her head, then shrugged at her friend. “no, not really. Because of all this schoolwork and all these exams,” she explained quickly. She quickly glanced at the paper Elizabeth had in her hand, and then looked at her friend’s frustrated looking face. “I take it you haven’t either then?” she asked. Before Elizabeth could answer, Alice stood and went to dig through her trunk to grab a bag of sweets she had been storing. Once she had it, Alice grabbed it an even smaller bag of ‘Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans’ and tossed a bean in her mouth. Suprisingly, it tasted good. Unlike most she normally found. “Want one?” she asked Lizzie, holding the bag out towards her.

Smiling as a thanks Elizabeth took a sweet studying it closely to see if she could guess the flavour. It was a green colour, bright yet not overpowering. The kind of colour that made her think of summer and her favourite hard back of Hogwarts a History. “I suppose my day has been okay, apart from Charms.” Elizabeth shrugged pushing a strand of hair behind her ear with her free hand. “I finished a painting that’s been taking me forever and a half to complete.” Giving up guessing the flavour of the Bertie Bott she shoved it into her mouth chewing it experimentally. “Urg grass. I always get bad ones, must co-ordinate with my luck.” She sighed swallowing the sweet. “So how is prep for your exams going?”

Lizzie II Alice

alissa-alice-longbottom:

It had been a busy day for Alice. With finishing several tests, and finishing up some homework before class, she had reached maximum stress. Thank Merlin the schoolday was over.

Alice thought it best to go to her dorm room and take a nap, or just hangout. So off she went, up the stairs and out of the way of everyone else. When she opened the door, she noticed only one girl she recognized. Elizabeth Dartmoor. She and Lizzie had been friends since day 1 at Hogwarts. “Hey, Lizzie!” Alice said happily, walking over to her. She sat down beside her carefully and calmly, waiting for a reply.

Elizabeth Dartmoor had not been having a good week. No, scratch that, she’d not been having a good year. At the moment even the smallest of details would stress her out to no end, especially when it came to such things as school work. Lizzie had always been good at working hard to get the grades she wanted but at the moment something was just nagging at her brain making it hard for her to concentrate. She’d been using her free afternoon period to finish up a particularly hard piece of charms homework when the door to her dorm room opened and her room mate, Alice Longbottom, walked in.

Looking up from where she was sprawled on her bed Elizabeth smiled widely up at her friend. “Hey Alice,” Looking down at her work she scratched out her incorrect spelling of ‘convenience’ re-writing it quickly before speaking again. “Did you have a good day?”
